I’m back this weekend to share with you some of our favorite Valentine’s Day ideas! If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I am OBSESSED with door decor! I love to decorate my doors and coordinate them with whatever major holiday is coming up. It’s a time-consuming addiction, but I love decorating too much to ever give it up! :)
Today I’ll be sharing some tips on how to decorate your door (or even bulletin board if you have a mean old fire marshall) with some darling February tweet hearts!
Step 1:
I didn’t have a picture without the tree branches and leaves…oops!! Just ignore those and just add some butcher paper and cute borders to your door!
Step 2:
I added a few branches and leaves using brown butcher paper and lime green construction paper! Just crumple up some of the brown paper and tape it to your door to create a tree trunk and some branches.
Step 3:
The birds were cut out by hand by one of my parent volunteers, since I didn’t have a template to use. I used some fun polka dot scrapbook paper to make them pop! The hearts used as wings on the birds were made using a heart die cut at school. Once you’ve added the birds, you can print out the banner (see end of post to download) and attach it to your door using any string or twine!
And you are done! Here’s the finished product!
I’ve also included a freebie with the tweet hearts banner you can just print out and add to your door! Click on the image below to download a copy!
What’s your favorite way to decorate your classroom door? I’d love to see pictures!
This is just the cutest idea! Thank you so much for sharing your door decor with us!

Your door is super cute!! I wish I enjoyed decorating a door. It’s actually one of my least favorite things to do. Do you just use tape to attach everything?
You always have the cutest doors! Maybe next year I’ll try some of these out!
Very cute door!!!! I love the ideas! How do you get the paper to stick on your door?
Melissa, I use packaging tape! It works well! :)
